Transfer market expert Tancredi Palmeri has revealed that Arsenal are the only "serious bidders" for Alexandre Lacazette.
It seems the Gunners have given up hope of signing Kylian Mbappe and have shifted their attention to the 26-year-old Lyon striker.
Sky Sports has claimed that Arsenal and Lyon are in talks to conclude the transfer.
And reports in Italy claim that the two clubs have already reached an agreement.
Lyon rejected a £29million offer from Arsenal last July with the French giants asking at least £44million to sell the player.
Lacazette was all set to join Atletico Madrid but their transfer ban meant that the move collapsed.
The player made it clear earlier this season that he wants to enjoy Champions League football next season.
But Arsenal are still confident that the player will move to the Emirates.
