French football expert Julien Laurens believes Alexandre Lacazette is not the right man to lead Arsenal to the Premier League title.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners have already held talks with Lyon to reach an agreement for the 26-year-old.
But Laurens says Arsenal need a different type of player if they are to fight for the Premier League crown.
"If you ask me 'can he come and take them to the title and in the Champions League and in two years time win the Champions League?' I think that's a bit early," he told ESPN FC.
"If the Arsenal fans wanted someone to win them the Champions League or the Premier League, Lacazette is not ready for that.
"He's not ready to be a leader and go straight in and go there and change that team and make them winners again, at least by himself.
"For that they need to sign a world class striker and Lacazette is not up there yet."
