Arsene Wenger has spoken directly to Kylian Mbappe over the phone about a potential move to Arsenal this summer, the Independent has revealed.
Wenger's phone call is an indirect reply to the secret meeting Zinedine Zidane held with the player.
It is not the first time the Frenchman has made direct contact to convince a player to make a move to the Emirates.
Attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil left Real Madrid to join Arsenal after "a long telephone call" from the 67-year-old.
Mbappe, 18, is expected to leave Monaco in the summer but his future remains unclear amid rumours that both Real Madrid and Arsenal want to sign him,
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the youngster but his future seems to be either in Spain or England.
