Arsenal are reportedly edging closer to a deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette according to Express Sport.
The article claims that manager Arsene Wenger is eager to add the £50million striker to his squad.
Last week, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that the Gunners have made an offer to sign the player.
"Lacazette was told he could leave – we now have a very nice offer from Arsenal," Aulas said.
"But for us he will not leave."
The Frenchman is one of the many strikers linked with a possible move to Arsenal with Kylian Mbappe also linked with the Gunners.
According to recent reports, Wenger can spend up to £100million in the transfer window and he is eager to strengthen the offensive department for Arsenal to be Premier League and Europa League contenders.
