Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has held talks with central defender Jean Michael Seri, the Daily Star has claimed.
The 25-year-old has attracted attention from a number of top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund.
As of today, the Giallorossi are in pole position to secure his services.
At the start of the month, the Guardian's Ed Aarons confirmed that the Arsenal boss held talks with the Ivorian as he continues to be a target for the North Londoners.
"Arsene Wenger held talks with Jean Seri's agent last week," Aarons explained.
"Nice holding out for 40m euros [£35million] after rejecting bid from Roma over weekend.
"Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and PSG (Paris St-Germain) have also lodged interest in Ivory Coast midfielder Seri. Currently second option for Barcelona."
