Arsenal striker Takuma Asano will spend next season on loan with Stuttgart after the Gunners have been informed that the striker still does not qualify for a work permit.
The Japanese was officially announced as an Arsenal player during last summer's transfer window but he was immediately loaned out in Germany after failing to obtain a work permit.
The Germans triggered a clause in his loan deal that means he will stay at Stuttgart for a second season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was full of praise for the youngster after he joined the club, describing him as a talented young striker and one "for the future".
The 21-year-old, who made his senior international debut in 2015, has proved a big success in his homeland since making his club debut at the age of 18.
The Gunners will be hoping to have the Japan international available at the end of next season.
