Arsenal have joined the race to sign Milan striker M'Baye Niang according to Express Sport.
The 22-year-old is eyeing a move to the English Premier League with Everton also interested.
He confessed five years ago that he met Arsene Wenger and was very close to joining Arsenal before opting to move to the Italian Serie A.
And Wenger was full of praise for the player at the start of the year.
"I know Niang well because he played for Caen and we had him here [on trial]," Wenger told reporters before last January's game against Watford.
"He's a very talented striker individually, and he can create chances.
"He's very strong as well physically, and very quick. I think he will be a major asset for them.
"He's on loan from AC Milan and we have to keep him quiet because he's a guy who can do something special."
