Arsenal have made a "very nice offer" to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed.
The striker was supposed to join Atletico Madrid but the deal collapsed after the Spanish giants were unsuccessful with their appeal against a FIFA-imposed registration ban.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Aulas also made it clear that his intention is to keep the 26-year-old at the club.
"Lacazette was told he could leave – we now have a very nice offer from Arsenal," Aulas said.
"But for us he will not leave."
The Gunners are expected to lose Oliver Giroud who wants to leave the club to enjoy regular first-team football elsewhere ahead of the World Cup Finals in Russia.
They also made an offer for Kylian Mbappe but it was rejected by Monaco.
