Arsenal will offer a new £100,000-a-week contract to attacking midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in an attempt to keep him at the Emirates.
The Sun revealed that the Englishman will be a pivotal player in Arsene Wenger's 3-4-3 formation next season.
The Frenchman deployed a changed formation two months ago and was delighted with the results saying that it "gets the best from all Arsenal players".
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal during the 2011 summer transfer window but has struggled to make an impact at the Emirates.
The 23-year-old is a target for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool but the North Londoners have no intention of selling a key player to a Premier League rival.
