Arsene Wenger agrees two-year contract and will make this £35million star his first summer signing

By

After agreeing a new two-year agreement with the club, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is now ready to concentrate on the transfer window.

According to Goal.com, the Frenchman will make contact with Leicester City striker Riyad Mahrez to make him his first summer signing.

The 67-year-old phoned the player last summer to convince him to make a move to the Emirates but he eventually decided to stay at Leicester City.

Having already enjoyed Champions League football with the Foxes, Mahrez is ready to join a club that will not feature in Europe's most prestigious competition.

The player wants at least £5.2million with Leicester City demanding £35million to let him go.
