Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will play for Italian side Roma on loan this season, Tutto Mercato Web has revealed.
The Englishman has struggled with injury problems in recent seasons and has lost his place in Arsene Wenger's starting eleven.
He will move to Italy hoping to enjoy regular first-team football in Luciano Spalletti's side.
If the transfer goes through, the 24-year-old will join former Arsenal player Thomas Vermaelen and on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny at the Stadio Olimpico.
The midfielder is also a target for Crystal Palace and Bournemouth but according to the Italian website he decided to reject the possibility of staying in the English Premier League to embark on a new adventure in the Italian Serie A.
He was not named in Sam Allardyce's first squad this week.
