Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has officially confirmed the signings of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.
They join Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano, Rob Holding and Kelechi Nwakali as new signings made this summer.
The defender will fill the void left empty by Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista who suffered long-term injuries in pre-season friendlies.
Deportivo La Coruna striker Perez scored 17 goals in 37 games last season and will add depth to Arsenal's offensive department.
"They’ve both had medicals but we need to complete the paperwork," the Frenchman said.
It has been a turbulent summer at the Emirates with fans urging the club to conclude a marquee signing.
But many were disappointed at the news that Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez were going to be the club's last two signings for the summer.
The Gunners have struggled in their first two official games of the season, losing 4-3 at home to Liverpool and managing only a goalless draw away at Leicester City.
But they bounced back in style as they eased past Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
