Bayer Leverkusen defender Omer Toprak has confirmed that he will probably leave the club during the last few weeks of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old has become one of the main men in the Bayer Leverkusen defence since joining from SC Freiburg and is a target for Arsenal according to recent reports.
"It is not certain whether I will stay at Bayer Leverkusen," he told Turkish-Football.
"We still have a month and anything could happen until then."
The Gunners desperately need to add a new central defender before deadline day.
Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista are sidelined for months and Rob Holding and Calum Chambers struggled in Arsenal's first two official games of the season.
Fans have been incredibly vocal in recent weeks after manager Arsene Wenger failed to add a new defender and a new striker to his squad.
But the Frenchman made it clear last week that he is working very hard to strengthen his squad before the end of the transfer window.
