Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says winger Serge Gnabry will be part of his squad as soon as he returns from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The youngster has been one of the most impressive players in the tournament and has helped his side to reach the final.
Germany Olympic team coach Horst Hrubesch was very critical of the way the Frenchman has treated the youngster at Arsenal but the 66-year-old revealed that he wants the 21-year-old to extend his stay at the Emirates.
"I want to keep Serge and to extend his contract," Wenger said on Thursday morning.
"We stood by him for a long time.
"He want to West Brom and didn't get a game, and we had to to rebuild his confidence when he came back.
"I allowed him go to Rio without playing for us at all, to get him back to competition and help Germany.
"He has been here for a long time and it is important for him to stay with us."
