Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits his players were not physically ready for today's game against Liverpool.
The Gunners suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season as they went down 4-3 at home against the Reds.
They face Leicester City away from home next with the Frenchman hoping to have Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil back in the squad.
"Physically we are not ready," Wenger said.
"You are in a Catch-22 situation with the Euros - do you give the players a rest and start the season without many of your players? Or do they play in this kind of game and get injured, like [Aaron] Ramsey today?
"I don't know [for how long he will be out], I haven't spoken to the medical people, [he has a] hamstring [problem].
"It's a thigh [problem for Alex Iwobi].
"We will try [to have Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil available for next week] but when they have not enough preparation they get injured."
