Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that Calum Chambers, Rob Holding and Krystian Bielik are all in line to start in the heart of the defensive department against Liverpool.
The Gunners will be without key defenders Per Mertesacker, Gabriel Paulista and Laurent Koscielny on Sunday.
20-year-old Holding joined the club this summer from Bolton Wanderers for a fee believed to be about £2m.
According to the Frenchman, he possesses enough experience to start the game despite the fact that he has never played a game in the English Premier League.
"I have a few [defensive] options that we have seen in pre-season," Wenger told reporters.
"That is basically the players we have available at the moment, who are quite young but have a great desire to do well.
"[Rob Holding] played in the Championship and that is a good experience [to deal with one level higher], to have played in the Championship."
