Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil revealed that he had a private chat with new Manchester City signing Leroy Sane before the youngster joined the Citizens.
The 20-year-old signed from Schalke 04 for a reported fee of £37million to become one of the most important signings for Per Guardiola at Manchester City.
"Naturally, the Premier League was a topic we discussed several times," he told Spox.
"I told Leroy that I regard it as the best league in the world and that young players can develop well there.
"That is why I was happy for him when the transfer materialised. He will improve a lot under Pep Guardiola."
In respect to Arsenal's summer transfer window, the Germany international admitted that the club could have done more.
"Of course, we all watch as the other teams strengthen and get [to a higher level] in the league," Ozil is quoted as saying by Metro.
"This decision is not with me, but the coach and the management."
