Germany Olympic team coach Horst Hrubesch says striker Serge Gnabry should be enjoying more regular first-team football at Arsenal.
The 21-year-old scored three goals so far in Rio and has been praised by many for his performances.
He was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion during last summer's transfer window but was recalled by the Gunners after playing only 12 minutes for the Baggies.
And Hrubesch was very critical of the way manager Arsene Wenger has treated the youngster.
"He's shown what he can do to everybody," Hrubesch said on sport1.de.
"I'm just annoyed that he is never shown this faith by his club."
The player added: "I'm just trying to help my team - that's what I'm here for."
