Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted after midfielder Santi Cazorla played the full 90 minutes in his side's 8-0 win against Viking FK.
The Spaniard has been a key member in the Frenchman's squad since moving from Malaga in the summer of 2012.
Wenger also confirmed that defender Per Mertesacker will be out for at least four months.
"It's the first time he's [Santi Cazorla has] played 90 minutes for a long, long time because he's basically been out since November," Wenger told reporters.
"He played the last game of the season and 90 minutes today. Let's see how he recovers from that. Of course we need him back in good shape.
"He's a pleasure to watch, especially when it's a demonstration like tonight. He's one of the few players that you don't know whether they're right or left footed. It's good that he came through well. We have no injuries tonight so that's positive.
"[Per] Mertesacker will be out for at least four months.
"Jack [Wilshere] has started running again today. He will train next week."
