Arsenal are working hard to sign Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, Sky Sports pundit Kaveh Solhekol has revealed on Twitter.
The Frenchman is a confirmed target for the Gunners after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that his club rejected a €35million by the Gunners.
But manager Arsene Wenger has identified the 25-year-old as the one to strengthen his squad's offensive department.
Meanwhile, Aulas has again insisted that he doesn't want to sell one of his best players this summer.
"Alexandre is irreplaceable. It would be a professional mistake to sell him," he said.
“For me, he will score more goals than Cavani this season and I imagine him doing incredible things in the Champions League.
“For all these reasons, I cannot imagine him leaving. I think he wants to realise a big season with Lyon. Alexandre will be at Lyonnais."
