Arsenal have joined Juventus in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to Gazzetta World.
The Frenchman enjoyed a very positive Euro 2016 tournament as he helped France reach the final then lost to Portugal.
The French giants have just extended the contract of Italy international Marco Verratti as a clear indication that they might accept an offer for the strong 29-year-old.
At the end of last month, new Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery admitted that the player could leave during the summer transfer window.
"He is a very good player," Emery told L'Equipe.
"We have a lot of left-footed defensive midfielders.
"If he has the opportunity to leave and if he thinks there are too many midfielders here ... but I do not want him to go."
