Roma attacking midfielder Radja Nainggolan has revealed that he spoke with Belgium team-mate Thomas Vermaelen about the possibility of playing together at Roma.
The 30-year-old is expected to leave Barcelona with recent reports claiming that the Gunners are interested in making a move to bring the Belgium international back at the Emirates to fill the void left by injured Per Mertesacker.
But Nainggolan says his friend is taking in consideration the possibility of leaving the Spanish giants to play in the Serie A.
"When a player plays for Barcelona it means that he did well in the past," Nainggolan is quoted as saying by Forzaroma.info.
"He suffered injury problems but I would pick him if I am to say who impressed me the most at the European Championship.
"I spoke with him, I asked him if he is free to come here and he told me that he will think about it.
"Then granted, he is the one to decide, not me."
