Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is due to have a medical tomorrow ahead of a return to Roma, the Daily Star confirmed.
The Poland international enjoyed a very positive campaign at the Stadio Olimpico last season.
And coach Luciano Spalletti has asked the club to extend the loan spell of the 26-year-old for one more season with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, reserve goalkeeper David Ospina says he is happy at the Emirates amid rumours that he is wanted by a number of clubs in Europe.
"I have a contract with Arsenal, I'm happy with the team," Ospina is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
"We are fighting for the top of the league.
"Now we have two weeks until we start the season. These friendlies serve us very well."
