Riyad Mahrez has agreed personal terms with Arsenal ahead of a proposed transfer from champions Leicester, Metro has revealed.
The 25-year-old will be Arsene Wenger's fourth signing of the summer.
Algeria's Le Buteur has also confirmed that the player has agreed personal terms with the Gunners and will sign a contract with his new club in the next 48 hours.
Yesterday, Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri declared that the Algerian has no reason to leave the club as elsewhere he would not be the star of the team.
"Mahrez for us is very important," Ranieri is quoted as saying by The Sun.
"If he goes into another big team, there are so many stars. Why? Stay with us, it's much better.
"He's our champion. If he goes to another team, there are so many champions.
"He knows me, I know him very well and I understand when he plays so-so and I can permit to stay on the pitch.
"With another manager, when he plays so-so there are so many other stars – they put him on the bench.
"It's important you give him confidence. But if you put him on the bench he gets down."
