Revealed: The manager to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal

By

Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe as he could become Arsene Wenger's successor at Arsenal, the Daily Star has revealed.

The Arsenal board were ready to approach the 38-year-old had the Frenchman decided to leave the club to replace Roy Hodgson as head coach of the England national football team.

He came under heavy criticism after finishing last season in second place behind Leicester City and will be under pressure to bring important trophies back to Arsenal this season.

The Gunners have already completed three signings this summer but fans are still expecting a big-name signing so as to challenge for this season's Premier League and Champions League.
