Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says attacking midfielder Alexis Sanchez and defender Gabriel Paulista will not travel with the rest of the squad to America for their pre-season tour.
The Chilean is recovering from an ankle injury suffered during the Copa America last month.
The Brazilian is out with a tonsillitis infection.
Players involved in the later stages of the Euro 2016 Championship are also absent.
"The players who won't make it are the players who went very far in the European Championship, such as [Aaron] Ramsey, [Mesut] Ozil, [Olivier] Giroud and [Laurent] Koscielny," Wenger told Arsenal Player.
"I left Gabriel [Paulista] behind today because he has tonsillitis and is infected. He cannot travel.
"Alexis [Sanchez] will not go either because he had an ankle injury. That is not too bad but I will leave him behind as well."
