Arsenal have reached an agreement with Leicester City attacking midfielder Riyad Mahrez, Eurosport France has revealed.
The Gunners have already tried to sign striker Jamie Vardy from the Foxes but the Englishman decided to stay at the club.
They were also linked with France's N'Golo Kante but the 25-year-old opted to join Chelsea.
Mahrez won the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award last season after helping Leicester City to their impressive Premier League win.
Manager Claudio Ranieri told reporters this week that the Algerian will not leave the club but it seems the player reached a personal agreement to move to the Emirates.
Reports have claimed that agent Kamel Bengougam was at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis to follow Arsenal against Lens.
But he didn't meet manager Arsene Wenger to discuss a transfer for his client.
