Sky Sports have confirmed that Arsenal are interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain.
The Gunners are yet to make an offer to sign the 28-year-old but have already made contact with the player's agent to understand if he's ready to make a move to the Emirates.
Reports on Wednesday claimed that the North Londoners made a cash plus Olivier Giroud offer in order not to pay the £79m release clause in the striker's contract.
And the agent of the Frenchman confirmed that his client would be more than happy to play under Maurizio Sarri next season.
"As of today Giroud is an Arsenal forward," Giroud's agent told Radio Crc.
"If they were to ask him to leave, then we'd evaluate the situation.
"There would be no fear for Olivier to go to Napoli, as we're talking about a magnificent place.
"In Naples my client could have a wonderful lifestyle, not to mention that Maurizio Sarri's style of football would get the best out of a striker like him."
