Everton striker Romelu Lukaku wants to join Arsenal and has agreed "basic terms" with the Gunners, transfer market expert Emanuele Giulianelli has revealed.
The Belgium international is one of the many strikers linked with a possible move to the Emirates.
But it seems manager Arsene Wenger is not ready to pay £55million to secure the services of the 23-year-old and will now shift his attention to Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette.
"As I've already written, Arsenal agreed basic terms with Romelu Lukaku via his agent in the last week of June," Giulianelli said.
"The player is keen on the move but there is no agreement between the clubs yet: Everton asked £55 million for the Belgian striker - just too much for Arsenal's intentions.
"But the deal is still on, because Arsenal are very confident in Lukaku's approval. Alexandre Lacazette, of Lyon, and the Santos striker Gabigol are even on the radar."
