Arsenal have indicated they are prepared to pay the £34.2million fee that will trigger talks with Lyon to sign their striker Alexandre Lacazette, the Telegraph has revealed.
It is confirmed that the Gunners will add a new striker during the summer transfer window.
Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain and Romelu Lukaku have all been linked with a possible move to the Emirates.
But it seems manager Arsene Wenger is determined to make a winning bid to secure the services of the 25-year-old.
Last week, Wenger opted not to comment about the possibility of adding Lacazette to his Arsenal squad.
"I neither confirm or deny interest,' Wenger told Canal + Sport.
"If I say that I like the player it starts speculation."
Lacazette scored 92 goals in 229 appearances for the French giants.
