New Arsenal signing Takuma Asano is "one for the future" according to manager Arsene Wenger.
The 21-year-old became the club's second summer signing after joining from Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
He is not expected to feature regularly next season with reports claiming that he will probably leave the club on loan.
The Frenchman made it clear that the youngster needs a "couple of years" to develop as a clear indication that he will probably be loaned out during the summer transfer window.
"Takuma is a talented young striker and very much one for the future," Wenger said.
"He has had an impressive start to his career in Japan and we look forward to him developing over the next couple of years."
