Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal: President opens up on Emirates move rumours

By

Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has rubbished claims that striker Alexandre Lacazette will leave the club during the summer transfer window.

Recent reports have claimed that the 25-year-old is a target for Arsenal and West Ham United with the Gunners expected to make a move after failing in their attempt to sign Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

But Aulas says the Frenchman will be at Lyon next season although he did reveal that midfielder Clement Grenier will leave the club.

"We have had a few calls, but Alexandre will stay," Aulas told Canal+.

"I think it is his desire and the coach [Bruno Genesio] counts on him.

"[Clement ] Grenier is not expected to be here for the coming season.

"There has been an offer from Sunderland and an Italian club."
