Leicester City vice-chairman: The truth behind Jamie Vardy's transfer to Arsenal

By

Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha says striker Jamie Vardy will not leave the club this summer.

The 29-year-old is a confirmed target for Arsenal after the Gunners made an offer to sign him during the summer transfer window.

But Srivaddhanaprabha has revealed that the Englishman is a key member of the team ahead of next season's Premier League and Champions League campaigns.

"I think so [he will stay], let's see," he is quoted as saying by Mirror.

"We need to build the team. We keep continuing to believe that we can do something special in the Premier League and the Champions League.

"The Champions League is going to be amazing for Leicester, so let's see. Leicester is the underdog and we can still be the underdog.

"I think everyone in Leicester is still pinching themselves. Even the players and staff. Now the season is finished and we have to move on."
