New Arsenal signing Kelechi Nwakali has chosen the No. 25 shirt at his new club to follow in the footsteps of his idol Nwankwo Kanu.
The Nigeria Under-20 international confirmed on his Instagram account that he will be an Arsenal player next season.
And the Gunners have accepted his request to wear the No. 25 shirt, All Stars Junior Football Academy head Emeka Amajiriaku has now confirmed.
"Arsenal have informed us that Kelechi has been handed the No.25 jersey," Amajiriaku told All Nigeria Soccer.
"He was trying to get that number because of Kanu, so he’s happy they gave it to him."
