Arsenal have reportedly held talks with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund to finalise the transfer of midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, journalist Emanuele Giulianelli has revealed on Twitter.
The 27-year-old is expected to leave the club during the summer transfer window with Manchester United also interested according to reports in England.
But as reported at the start of the week, the Gunners are strong favourites and an official announcement could be made as early as next week.
Last week, agent Mino Raiola confirmed that the player is ready to listen to offers ahead of the summer transfer window.
"Why would we sign a contract renewal now?" Raiola told German newspaper Bild.
"Micki has a contract until June 2017 and we are looking at his options for the future."
