Nigeria Under-20 international Samuel Chukwueze has successful underwent a medical with Arsenal but the transfer has been blocked by his club Diamond Academy.
Any offers for the youngster need to be agreed on terms set out by the academy and although the Gunners are still strong favourites to secure his services, Monaco and Porto have joined the race.
A top source involved in negotiations explained to All Nigeria Soccer the situation.
"Arsenal wanted Chukwueze, even till tomorrow," the source said.
"The problem is that they could not agree with Diamond Academy.
"Samuel has done his medical with Arsenal and he passed it. They wanted to give him a five-year deal, the academy is taking their time to study other offers."
