Watford and Southampton are both ready to make an official offer to sign Arsenal defender Calum Chambers, Calciomercato.com has revealed.
The youngster has never managed to secure a regular place in manager's Arsene Wenger line-up since joining from Southampton and is determined to leave the club to enjoy regular first-team football next season.
And last month, the 21-year-old made it clear that he will not stay at Arsenal to warm the bench.
"[My future at Arsenal?] For me, I just want to play games, so, yeah, that's it for me," Chambers is quoted as saying by Mirror.
"But at the moment I am not thinking too much about next season, I just want to go and enjoy my summer. Then we'll get back at it soon.
"Playing games is what is all about.
"Getting experience, getting game-time and that's what is key at the moment for players our age and experiences.
"The more game-time we get, the more experience you'll get and obviously the more it'll benefit you."
