Reports in England on Friday claimed that Arsenal have made an official offer to sign Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The news was also confirmed by Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri.
But where does this leave Arsenal's attempts to sign Real Madrid man Alvaro Morata?
According to Calciomercato.com, the Gunners have opted for a much cheaper solution to strengthen their offensive department this summer.
The Gunners have made a bid in the region of £20million to sign the Englishman much less than the £45million they would have had to pay to secure the services of the Spaniard.
If they complete the transfer of Vardy, Morata would become a target only for Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain with Atletico Madrid also rumoured to be interested.
