Arsenal have reportedly been told to increase their opening offer for Rob Holding by tenfold, the Daily Star has reported.
An initial offer of £750,000 has been made by the Gunners to secure the services of the 20-year-old.
He is expected to be sold by struggling Bolton Wanderers but Arsenal must be quick in submitting a second offer as the youngster is also a target for rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites have made a bid of their own to sign the defender but have been told that he only wants to sign for Arsene Wenger's side.
