Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says attacking midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla could face Sunderland next week in the Premier League.
The two will miss Sunday's game against Crystal Palace and Thursday's home game against West Bromwich Albion but could make their long-awaited return from injury at the Stadium of Light.
Defender Per Mertesacker will undergo a late fitness test tomorrow morning but is expected to start on the bench.
"Next week they [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla] will be back maybe, they are not back in full training yet. They are still on fitness work," Wenger revealed.
"I have no news today [on Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky].
"After the under-21s game [yesterday] there were no reports of any problems.
"From last Saturday's game against West Ham, we should have everyone available who was in the squad.
"I haven't decided yet [over Per Mertesacker's fitness]. We are 48 hours away from the game so I will see.
"I [also] have not decided [on who will start in goal]. When it is decided I will have to inform the people first.
"Petr Cech is our No 1 but [David] Ospina is also a fantastic goalkeeper. His numbers are absolutely exceptional in the Premier League. I felt that Petr Cech had only had one week of training and was only just coming back."
