Arsenal will not make any signings on deadline day, BBC journalist David Ornstein revealed.
Recent reports have claimed that the Gunners will make a last-minute move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain who wants to leave the club to enjoy Champions League football this season.
But Ornstein says no players will leave or join the club.
"It's very unlikely Arsenal will make any signings before the deadline," Ornstein wrote on Twitter.
"They explored a few options but nothing even got off the ground, let alone coming close. Almost certainly no ins or outs today for the Gunners."
