Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla says Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema would be a quality signing for the Gunners but also that boss Arsene Wenger is not after a new striker.
The Gunners have been chasing the Frenchman since the start of the summer transfer window but Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez said at the start of the week that the striker will not leave the club.
He is currently ruled out with a thigh injury that could keep him out of Real's first Liga game against Sporting Gijon.
"I'm not very aware on whether there is any interest or not," Cazorla told CadenaCOPE.
"The manager knows it better than anyone.
"Benzema is a great player. Every side would like to have him but I think the manager already has his team made and probably he is not looking for another striker.
"Benzema fits into any team. The good players fit well in every side. He has quality and would adapt great."
