Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli after the centre-back's supposed move to AC Milan has failed to come to fruition, Express Sport has revealed.
The youngster is a target for the Gunners and the Rossoneri according to reports in Italy with Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic confirming that he wants to sign the player before the end of the transfer window.
"We clearly want [to sign] Alessio [Romagnoli]," Mihajlovic is quoted as saying by MilanNews.
"I need a left-footed player who is also good to start our moves from the back.
The 20-year-old has a market transfer value of £25m although coach Rudi Garcia is not ready to let him go in the summer.
