Real Madrid are ready to make an important offer to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, A Bola has revealed.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were all linked with the Portuguese star last month but the report claims that the Spanish giants are favourites to sign the 23-year-old.
Last month, Sporting Lisbon boss Jorge Jesus dismissed speculation regarding the youngster's future by saying that he will remain with the Portuguese club.
"William is a certainty," Jesus told ESPN.
"Sporting has young people who are already certainties, are not hopes or doubts. William will be enhanced if the team is also.
"Only players value the team respond to winning titles. He's a player with features to play more. I have no doubt that with me will play more."
