Arsenal have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Striker Karim Benzema is still Arsene Wenger's top target this summer but Real Madrid are expected to keep the player at the Bernabeu.
Lewandowski, rated at £44.7m, is Wenger's back-up plan if he fails to secure the services of Benzema.
He is also a target for Manchester United who are yet to replace striker Robin van Persie who left at the start of the month to join Fenerbahce.
