Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he is not interested in signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The 27-year-old continues to be heavily linked with a possible move to the Emirates but the Frenchman has rubbished the rumours.
He did however confirm that striker Yaya Sanogo will be loaned out with Ajax closing in on securing his signature.
"I don't know where that story has come from," Wenger said.
"But that's [a transfer for Benzema is] not happening at the moment.
"We do not guarantee that we can sign someone and I'm happy with the squad that I have.
"If I find a player with an exceptional potential who can strengthen the squad then I will do it. It depends who is on the market.
"It's not easy at the moment because many clubs are out there to buy, and the number of players who can strengthen the big teams in Europe is very restricted.
"He [Yaya Sanogo] will go on loan, I believe he needs to play.
"He's ready and he'll get an opportunity to play in the Champions League."
