West Ham co-chairman David Gold has confirmed that West Ham United are determined to sign Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson this summer.
The Englishman spent last season on loan at Upton Park with the Hammers eager to secure a permanent move for the player during the summer.
He joined Arsenal in the summer of 2011 but failed to enjoy first-team football under manager Arsene Wenger.
"We are very working hard to try and get Carl back here," Gold is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"We recognise this is an important season for us, being in Europe, and we will go the extra mile to ensure we have got the strongest possible squad we can muster."
