Arsenal are in talks with Barcelona to complete the transfer of Munir El Haddadi, Metro reports.
The 19-year-old impressed when selected to take over from Luis Suarez during the Uruguayan's ban at the start of last season but lost his place after the former Liverpool striker finally made his long-awaited debut for the club.
It is understood that Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has asked the club not to sell the player during the summer.
But with Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Pedro all ahead of him in the pecking order, the coach would be open to let the youngster go out on loan for a season.
Chelsea have also shown interested in the Spaniard although reports from Spain claim that Arsenal is the only club to have made an official approach for the player.
