New Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech admits he was overwhelmed by the reception he received after joining the club.
Several Arsenal players took to twitter to welcome their new teammate to the squad with Chelsea players also showing their admiration for their former team-mate.
The 33-year-old was also full of praise for new manager Arsene Wenger, who was one of the reasons why he decided to move to the Emirates.
"The last few days were really overwhelming," Cech told the club's official website.
"The reaction from my ex-team-mates and friends at Chelsea was equally overwhelming. I want to thank Chelsea fans for the overwhelming messages I got in the last days.
"You realise I made my print in the history of Chelsea. I realise that not only Arsenal show me their will to have me in team, but happiness of supporters and welcome messages from team-mates make me think I made the right choice.
"The welcome messages from new team-mates and Arsenal fans was absolutely unbelievable.
"When I spoke with him [manager Arsene Wenger] it was very important for me to know that I see things in pretty much the same way, with the desire to improve and to get better and to win things.
"We will have the whole pre-season to work together and to get used to each other.
"The fact that you have a settled back four with people who have known each other for some time is an advantage.
"I know the league and what to expect so this is to my advantage."
