Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal is what the Gunners need to be title contenders next season.
Speculation over the Chilean's future has been considerable in recent weeks with Juventus reported not to be happy with his off-the-pitch behaviour.
Arsenal and Real Madrid are reported to be interested although according to the Telegraph, boss Arsene Wenger has ended interest in the 28-year-old.
"I don't know if [Vidal to Arsenal] is going to happen," Ferdinand is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"He's someone who would be great for Arsenal. He's the perfect fit.
"He gets goals from midfield, has a great work ethic.
"When you see him playing for Chile or Juventus, he's someone who stands out with great energy and he's got experience of winning titles - and that is what Arsenal are missing at the moment."
